Clogs/ Mules will have another BIG year in 2025 and so i’ve attempted to find the best of what’s currently on the market.
Bedrock Clogs £133
Made out of leather suede, these blend technical wear with a material usually used more in more formal settings. This makes for a unique mix as one of my favourite items on this newsletter. Considering the vibram sole and high quality suede leather £133 is not a bad price. Its not often I say this but I would recommend styling these with a tracksuit, have a look round vinted, ebay and depop for 90’s tracksuits. These by Palace are also a solid choice.
Pecan Brown Shearling Mules
The colour of these will work great with other muted tones, but also with very out there colours. Probably also one of my favourite shoes on here. If you want to style them with some bold shorts these are great and significantly discounted. I also have a vision of these with some beige trousers and perhaps a green cardigan. Orange and beige is a colour combination that we do not see enough of, its highly underrated. I would recommend searching for used cardigans on Depop and Vinted such as these by Lacoste. Look for cardigans from: Lacoste, Tommy Hilfiger, Beams Plus and Noah just to name a few.
Vinarch Fur Mules £89
A classy mule by Archibalds, well crafted with the cow skin adding an extra dimension. Would work great with pleated trousers these by Ronning would work great.
Contrast Stich Mules £98.00 £140.00
The second of a few Dr Martens on here, they seem to be producing a lot of great mules of late. Whether that will continue under their new creative director I do not know. Inspired by 80’s Gothic sub-culture, the contrast stitch provides an interesting take on a classic silhouette. Be wear, these run a bit small so it’s worth sizing up.
Isham Desert Suade Mule £89.99 £128.99
Built of high quality leather suede, it remains a some what casual but also elegant shoe. The gold buckle compliments the suede well, personally, I would style these with jeans that are baggy and probably on the lighter side . Such as the Carhartt Brandon Pant, I own these personally and can say that the quality is top tier.
Crocs Running Vest Clog £75
Made of a mesh that is meant to imitate that of a running vest, hence the name. I would style these with either these shorts by eighteen east or these by Gramicci. Shorter shorts will have a big year in 2025, but I recommend longer shorts with volume for this pair of mules.
Monet Black £105
Elegant pair of shoes, I would either dress them up perhaps with pleated pinstripe trousers. If you would like to find some at an affordable price it is well worth going on depop, vinted and ebay and searching for ‘pinstripe pleated trousers’ ‘90’s suit trousers’ or ‘90’s pleated trousers.’ As well as various combinations of these. Conversely, these would look great with jorts such as these.
Suicoke £92 £184
Big fan of these, would probably rock them raw.. that is with no socks. Have fun with styling these, can be great for a laidback spring/ summer outfit.
Jorge 2 Suede Mules £78.00 £130.00
These have got to go with some green trousers, these by humanmade would look great. Maybe that was a bit authoritarian, of course style them how you want, many colours and tones will work great, it’s a great shoe and one that I don’t think is confined to spring and summer. It is not too bright for the winter months and will add a nice bit of colour to your winter outfits.
Subu Mule £79
Another great Mule for a relaxed outfit, great with some joggers for example. Or great as your everyday slippers!
