Hey all! Welcome to the first edition of my newsletter, i’ve spent a good deal of time thoroughly researching in order to find some of these deals and hope some will be to your taste. I have added my personal opinions and styling tips, hopefully they will be of help too!
Scuttlers Jacket £220 £365
The Scuttlers Jacket is a piece i’ve had my eye on for a while now. It manages to navigate between not being too casual or formal due to its relaxed fit and moleskin rugged like texture. I personally am really enjoying venturing into fashion that is smarter whilst still maintaining some elements that make it appropriate for everyday wear.
Beams Plus Silk Shorts £84 £280
Shorts in winter? Surely not, but now is a great time to get your shorts for summer at large discounts. Made from 100% silk they’re a bargain at this price. I would wear these with something neutral, and let your lower half do the talking. They would clash with anything too flashy, and they’re out there enough that they can make an outfit interesting on their own.
Kenzo Poppy Jacket £203 £580
Now is a great time to buy a Kenzo Poppy Jacket as you will be able to wear it throughout winter and into spring. It manages to tread between workwear whilst remaining a smart piece. I think this could be styled with pretty much anything: an oversized light blue or white shirt would work great poking out from underneath; a set of straight leg raw denim; black corduroy and even the shorts mentioned above. The list can go on an on…
Salvage Smock Light Blue £196 £280
Made out of cotton chambray this is a high quality lightweight jacket with a hefty reduction in price. I would personally style this with something baggy and flowy such as these Needles HDP Shorts which are also heavily discounted. Or with trousers that compliment the light blue shade well such as brown or certain shades of green. These trousers mentioned later on would work great.
Needles Colourful Shirt £161 £230
Would personally style this shirt either by having it subtly poking out from underneath a denim jacket or knit jumper. Or would have it as the main piece of an outfit, perhaps with a pair of Solovairs that do not clash too much with the colours of the shirt and a a pair of wide leg shorts or jeans. At £161 its at a pretty good price for Needles.
Gramicci Hemlock Jacket £126 £180
An interesting mixture between workwear and military design, the contrast pockets add a unique dimension to this piece. Feel free to size up as I have found Gramicci tends to run pretty small. In terms of styling, it would work well with beige trousers such as these Dickies 874's. I also think any grey or paler colour such as a subtle pink, mauve or lilac would work well creating nice contrast.
Comme Des Garcons Patchwork Parka £576 £960
The most expensive piece on the list despite being heavily discounted! Having personally tried this jacket on in store I can say that it is a beautiful jacket. The feel of the jacket is high quality (as you would expect for the price) and the colours really compliment each other especially in person. Having seen a lot of clothing being ‘cropped’ in recent years, a parka is refreshing and I believe we will see more long coats being worn into 2025 making this a great investment.
Adidas Wales Bonner Samba £132 £220
This might be a hate it or love it shoe, but I think it works. They’re enough of a statement that the rest of your outfit can be subtle. Perhaps more of a summer shoe, but 40% off is a good deal on these. Being Wales Bonner, they will likely hold their value long term making them a solid choice.
Human Made Cargo Trousers £145 £290
A fun pair of trousers, and at 50% off you can’t go wrong. Can be styled easily, and remain subtle while adding something to your outfit. I would personally pair these with a black leather jacket and some Solovairs or boots.
Wool Balaclava £55 £75
Not something i’d usually go for but the Wool Balaclava, again by YMC is a versatile piece that if styled right can add a lot to an outfit. Personally, I would wear it more as a neck-warmer, acting as a nice alternative to a scarf.
Beams Plus Jacquard Patchwork Cardigan £168.58 £240.83
Could see this going really nicely with the Human Made Cargo Trousers mentioned above.
Dr. Martens x Awake Lowell Shoe £179
Though these are not discounted, I still thought i’d include them. They’re fun! Hair on leather seems to be very popular at the moment and these are a lovely play on that.
Très Bien Work Pant £45 £152
At £45 you cannot go wrong with these. Great fit and great quality.
Tres Bien Leather Shorts £184 £408
Massive discount on these, leather shorts may not be to everyones taste. But I can only see leather shorts becoming more and more popular. Could work great with a white or light blue, flowy shirt.
Engineered Garments Cagoule Shirt £289 £446
A lot of the checked stuff i’ve seen recently has felt a bit dated and seems to be a trend that was at its peak in 2022-2023. This however feels like a refreshing take on a check/ plaid jacket. Perfect for the spring season.
Brain Dead Knit £188.30 £269.00
One of my favourite items in this newsletter, the discounted price considering the quality of knitwear is a steal. The buttons work really well with the grey/ blue cotton and the slightly lower collar offers a classic almost grandma like look, which if styled right will look unique and great.
Folk Pleated Knit £133 £190
Another great knit at a great price, speaks for itself.
Folk Barrel Leg Pant £100 £140
Versatile colour, that I would say we don’t see worn enough in trousers. Easy way to add a little something to an outfit rather then just going for a pair of jeans. Great for all year round.
