This week includes my budget pick of the week, my brand of the week, the person I think dressed best this week as well as the usual recommendations of already released and upcoming items as well as a few second hand shoe options!
Budget Pick of the Week: Blacksmith
Blacksmith are a great brand that are relatively well known however, I strongly feel are still highly underrated. You will not be able to find higher quality goods for anywhere near the price these guys put their clothing out for. You would think that for the price there must be some sacrifice in either design or quality but that simply does not seem to be so. I recommend having a look through their website and sale yourself and finding some items that take your fancy. These are just some of the highlights I found:
Cropped Fairway Jacket £89 (top left)
Mohair Cardigan £89 (top right)
Checkerboard Sweater £75 (middle right)
Corduroy Easy Shorts £32.50 (middle left)
Striped Sweater £75 (bottom right)
Ripstop Utility Shorts £45 (bottom left)
Sedan All Purpose Lookbook
Sedan all purpose is inspired by classic 90’s American looks, aiming to invoke a sense of nostalgia in all their clothing. They certainly do this, however SS25, which they have already dropped their first instalment of retains an element of nostalgia but also seems forward thinking. Keep an eye on them as they are going in an interesting direction.

Best Dressed Of The Week
I stumbled accross Matt’s account this week and really liked the way he uses colour and layers different pieces together ! He wear lots of Japanese brands such as Engineered Garments, Beams Plus and Norbit (three of my personal favourites). I have compiled what I could find of what he was wearing just below:
Left outfit: I don’t think i’ve managed to find the exact jacket, but this Cav Empt Jacket is very similar. The vest seems to be the C1 Vest by Engineered Garments, shoes are by Yuketen and the hat is something a bit like this hat by Warehouse & Co.
Middle outfit: I’m pretty sure much of the layering in the top half is engineered garments though I could not find the exact links. He is wearing these Needles Trousers , but I couldn’t find the exact same trousers for sale anywhere but these are pretty similar.
Right outfit: The underlayer is by Norbit, he wears it flipped to get both the yellow and pattern sides popping out. The trousers, I think are these by LaneFortyFive. And the bucket hat is by Snowpeak.
Brand of Week: Sturla
My favourite brand I discovered this week is Sturla, a London based brand founded in 2018. Focused on hand-crafted items with functional and unique materials I was really impressed with their clothing. There is a strong focus on felting sown into Sturla’s DNA. Felting a fabric is the process of matting, condensing, and pressing fibres together to create a dense, non-woven textile. This creates some really unique pieces that you’re unlikely to get elsewhere.

Barbour Jackets
Barbour are consistently putting out great jackets at the moment, they have struck the balance between innovating whilst maintaining their classic look. They have a lot of other great jackets then the ones I’ve selected available here.

Diemme x Hiking Patrol
The Movida collection, first issue of which came in Hiking Patrols’s AW24 collection has new pairs dropping on Feb 11th. The tongue is a feature we’ve seen a lot of since the Adidas x Wales Bonner collab and it looks like the retro feel it brings is loved and here to stay.

Salamon x The Broken Arm
These are sold uut everywhere, however, they are pretty easy to come buy at a decent price second hand. Have a look around Depop, Vinted and eBay and you will likely find a pair at a decent price.

Asics x UP There (Top Left) Asics x Cecil Bahsen (Bottom Left & Right)
I though i’d round up a few of my favourite past and upcoming Asics collabs, that perhaps don’t get talked about as much as they should.
